Making a key to a 1994 Isuzu Trooper when keys were lost
Upon arriving at a customers home to make a key to their Isuzu trooper we noticed that the customer had what he thought was a key code tag for the vehicle, key code tags were originally placed on the key ring when the original owner purchased the car.The new owner was advised to record the numbers in a safe place so if the key was ever lost or misplaced it could be originated by a locksmith or dealer with ease.
Usually when a customer has a key code a locksmith will look the code up in a codebook for that specific make and model year car or now with computers so readily available and mobile, the information is usually put onto a software cd which makes finding the code faster and more efficient.
Upon finding the correct code the locksmith will be required to use the correct key blank for the specified make and model year of the automobile. After the code and key blank are successfully found the locksmith uses what's called a code machine that can cut the key to the original factory specifications.There are a few types of these machines but most locksmiths use an HPC Code machine that requires electricity and or An HPC Punch code machine that requires no electricity and these are especially handy when working on the road.
Unfortunately our customers code was not for his vehicle and was a code for another car he had previously owned. So now What ?
Not to worry locksmiths can still make a key to vehicles without having a code and in this case they were able to take the lock out of the back door and decode it by taking it apart,reading the lock wafer's which are found inside the lock cylinder , They then cut the key in this case with the Punch Code machine since the service was performed at the customers home.
This type of locksmith process takes some time and usually is more expensive since it requires more labor, but most locksmiths will give you an upfront flat rate price for such a service. Within in an hour of arrival we had the key cut and the customer was happily back on the road.

hi
i recently formatted my system, and after that when i tried to play a cd, it complains saying that a decoder is missing. i recently purchased a sonic decoder from microsoft last month,but lost the key to install it,
can any one please suggest me is there any free decoder downloads availble or how to get the key that i lost
from microsoft.
you should be able to get the key back, possibly by going to the sonic website. if you made an account with them, then you can probably just sign into their website and find the information on what the key is in your account settings. you could also give them a call or an e-mail.
